Women in HVACR Scholarship Program
Congratulations on picking an awesome profession! The opportunities for women in HVACR professions continues to grow. With over one third of the population in the US retiring in five years, current industry estimates project a need for 86,000 employees over the next five years. One of WHVACR goals is to help the industry fill this demand now and going forward with deserving and qualified candidates. In 2025 Women in HVACR is delighted to be able to increase our scholarship award amount to: Six - $5000.00 Scholarships (qualifications apply).
Scholarship Qualifications
- Open to females currently enrolled in a college or trade school preparing them to enter into the HVACR industry.
- GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Completed Application and Essay with a minimum of 500 words answering the questions below
- Open to females currently enrolled in a college or trade school preparing them to enter into the HVACR industry through a relating degree in a 4 year college.
- GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Completed Application and Essay with a minimum of 500 words answering the questions below
Application Requirements
Essay Entry
The following essay questions are part of the scholarship application and must be completed with a minimum of 500 words for consideration. Please see the Scholarship Rubric here.
- What motivated you to seek a career in the HVACR industry?
- Discuss your long term professional goals relevant to the profession.
- Describe how a career in HVACR will provide a positive impact to your professional goals and career path.
- Explain the importance of (your major) in today's society, and for the future.
- What do you feel are the most important issues facing your field today?
Cover Letter Requirements
The following cover letter requirements are part of the scholarship application and must be completed for consideration.
- Personal Introduction and Educational Goals
Briefly introduce yourself, including your current school/program and intended field of study. Share your educational goals and how this scholarship will help you achieve them. - Career Aspirations and Community Impact
Explain your career interests and how you plan to use your education to make a difference in your industry or community. - Why You Are a Strong Candidate
Highlight personal qualities, achievements, or challenges you've overcome that demonstrate your motivation, resilience, and why you are a strong fit for this scholarship.
Application and Support Documents
The application must be completed in its entirety and supporting documentation must be uploaded to be considered. Please refer to the list below for further details.

Process

1. Register
Click on the "Register" link and complete and submit the registration form.
2. Login
Login to the award with your email and password.
3. Create
Create your online application.
4. Save
During the Call for Applications period, your application can be saved as DRAFT until all the required information is completed and attachments uploaded. As each section is complete, you will see a appear in the category tab when the application is saved. At any time, you can download and print your application by clicking on the
icon in the Application Summary section.
5. Submit
On completion, save your Application as FINAL. Download and print a copy of your application for your records by clicking on the icon in the Application Summary section in the right column. Note: If an update is required prior to the Call for Applications period, you can make the update and resave as FINAL.
