Women in HVACR Scholarship Program
Congratulations on picking an awesome profession! The opportunities for women in HVACR professions continues to grow. With over one third of the population in the US retiring in five years, current industry estimates project a need for 86,000 employees over the next five years. One of WHVACR goals is to help the industry fill this demand now and going forward with deserving and qualified candidates. In 2025 Women in HVACR is delighted to be able to increase our scholarship award amount to: Six - $5000.00 Scholarships (qualifications apply).
Scholarship Qualifications
- Open to females currently enrolled in a college or trade school preparing them to enter into the HVACR industry.
- GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Completed Application and Essay with a minimum of 500 words answering the questions below
- Open to females currently enrolled in a college or trade school preparing them to enter into the HVACR industry through a relating degree in a 4 year college.

Cover Letter Requirements
The following cover letter requirements are part of the scholarship application and must be completed for consideration.
- Personal Introduction and Educational Goals
Briefly introduce yourself, including your current school/program and intended field of study. Share your educational goals and how this scholarship will help you achieve them. - Career Aspirations and Community Impact
Explain your career interests and how you plan to use your education to make a difference in your industry or community. - Why You Are a Strong Candidate

Women in HVACR Ambassador Program
The Women in HVACR Ambassador Program provides regional outreach to educational facilities and groups interested in promoting careers in HVACR.
Our Ambassadors are volunteers who represent Women in HVACR in their regions to help increase awareness of opportunities in HVACR at all levels — from the field to sales, to management, to ownership.
The Women in HVACR Ambassador plays a vital role in advocating for and inspiring the next generation of women in the HVACR industry. Ambassadors engage with high schools, colleges, trade schools, career fairs, and industry events to promote careers in HVACR.
Through speaking engagements, presentations, and local outreach efforts, Ambassadors will help raise awareness of the vast opportunities available in the industry, while serving as a role model for women considering careers in the trades.
What Does It Mean To Be An Ambassador?
The Women in HVACR Ambassador plays a vital role in advocating for and inspiring the next generation of women in the HVACR industry. As an Ambassador, you will engage with high schools, colleges, trade schools, career fairs, and industry events to promote careers in HVACR. Through speaking engagements, presentations, and local outreach efforts, you will help raise awareness of the vast opportunities available in the industry while serving as a role model for women considering careers in the trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent WHVACR at local career fairs, trade schools, colleges, and industry events.
- Deliver engaging presentations and discussions about career opportunities in the HVACR industry.
- Inspire and mentor young women by sharing personal experiences and industry knowledge.
- Promote the WHVACR mission, membership benefits, and programs to students and professionals.
- Maintain a professional and enthusiastic presence at all events.
- Actively seek and support initiatives that encourage more women to explore and enter the skilled trades.
- Proactively seek and coordinate speaking opportunities at schools, career fairs, and industry events while promoting the WHVACR mission, membership benefits, and programs to students and professionals.
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be an active member of Women in HVACR.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Friendly, energetic, and approachable demeanor.
- Knowledgeable about career paths and opportunities in HVACR.
- Self-motivated and proactive in seeking outreach opportunities.
- Willingness to travel locally for events and engagements.
Time Commitment
- Flexible, based on availability. Ambassadors are encouraged to participate in at least one outreach event per quarter.
- Ambassadors must complete 3-4 hours per year of onboarding and ongoing training to remain active.

Application Supplements
Applicants must submit the following supplements:
- A current resume highlighting relevant experience and skills.
- Two email addresses for individuals who are willing to submit a letter of recommendation attesting to your ability to meet the Ambassador program requirements.
Ensure that all supplements are complete and submitted as part of your application to be considered.
Incomplete submissions may result in your application not being reviewed.
Process
1. Register
Click on the "Register" link and complete and submit the registration form.
2. Login
Login to the award with your email and password.
3. Create
Create your online application.
4. Save
During the Call for Applications period, your application can be saved as DRAFT until all the required information is completed and attachments uploaded. As each section is complete, you will see a
appear in the category tab when the application is saved. At any time, you can download and print your application by clicking on the
icon in the Application Summary section.
5. Submit
On completion, save your Application as FINAL. Download and print a copy of your application for your records by clicking on the
icon in the Application Summary section in the right column. Note: If an update is required prior to the Call for Applications period, you can make the update and resave as FINAL.
